Some people just aren't made for standardized tests and have other strengths instead. I attended a top 3 college. Of all the students I met, my impression of those students with lower ACT scores (I asked around in my friends' circles) where by no means less smart than the rest of the students; in fact, they were actually all ending up graduating in the top 20% of the class (with hard majors such as chemical engineering, biology, or psychology). I don't think it's fair to make fun of people just because they have low confidence in raising their LSAT score. The ability to score well on standardized tests does not say much about a person's ability. A bit more humbleness on your guys' side will get you far in life, trust me. And if you guys scored high on the LSAT, congrats. Keep it to yourselves and stop disrespecting other people.
Cool story bro?

But yeah, in my humble opinion, nothing I said was arrogant. Solid straw man though, would read again.
Yo, BZ, a bit more humbleness will get you far in life. Trust him. He went to a "top 3 college."
Haha, my bad. Admittedly, I was making a fool of myself  . That actually came across the wrong way; I didn't intend to write it like that. I was just feeling people here were trying to ridicule OP's LSAT score and school offers (the whole "mommy" thing) and making her seem foolish. I was trying to say that many smart people have low scores, at any school. No offense to anyone. I just want people to be treated with respect (and, by the way, her score was like 165? That's very decent in my opinion).

Everyone, good luck on your (remaining) school applications. OP - to answer your question - if you got a decent scholarship (2/3 - full tuition), I don't think you have that much to loose by choosing Pepperdine. However, based on your circumstances, it can't hurt to wait a year, either, as others have said.

No one was ridiculing the OP's LSAT score or school offers (how could one possibly ridicule an offer of admission itself?). I'd suggest maybe reading closer next time before responding if that's the type of thing you're tempted to respond with.

Btw- even with a full tuition scholarship+stipend of course there is something to lose. 3 years of your life, especially 3 years of your prime, is a lot to give up. We are also talking about a festering TTT here, not Harvard.

Come on bro.

Yes, of course. There's no such thing as a free lunch. There's an opportunity cost to everything... but also to waiting another year. With a full tuition scholarship + stipend, plus perhaps being interested in public interest law in SoCal, I don't think this deal is too bad. After all, you'll graduate debt-free (assuming the stipulations on your scholarship are reasonable). If, on the other hand, your goal is a prestigious big law job in NYC, then Pepperdine (or any TTT school for that matter) is obviously a bad choice... I think it depends on the individual's situation. Attending a TTT school does make sense for some people, in my personal opinion.

Attending a school you call a "third tier toilet" should probably not make sense. Depending on the goals and situation, there are definitely schools in the "third tier" that make sense to attend; Pepperdine is a raging dumpster fire all around, though.

Lol, I'm new in this forum. I thought TTT just stands for "third tear school"... I was wondering what the third "T" was for.

Curious what the OP decided on? Both choices are in my safety net, so I'd like to hear more from OP's decision. Gunning for UCLA myself. Good luck!
