In Charlottesville you'll have a few LGBT folks, a few allies (straight people who get it), and a lot of people who "have nothing against you," with a open bigot here or there. At any school in NY, DC, or LA/Bay Area, you'll have lots of LGBT folks, lots of allies, and the remainder will be people who "have nothing against you." On the other hand, VA needs all the help it can get to stay blue in 2014/6!
