NU came back with an increase, that makes it a bit closer and now I'm back on the fence again. Still 6 figures of debt at NU, but more like 200k than 300k (assuming the t-bill rate doesn't go up too much the next 3 years). Where WUSTL looks like well under 100k in debt probably about 80k maximum.
Thought I'd update people since they gave me some good opinions in this thread.
i just threw up in my mouth when i saw your scholly amount on lsn. are you urm? wtf

Not URM, just a splitter, seems like a bunch of schools suddenly found themselves short of 170+ LSAT scores.

With the extra money I'd go to NU. I think the price has become reasonable enough.

I'd come back at Northwestern one more time for 5-10k more. It's amazing what playing hardball can do sometimes, and they clearly want you. Even if you don't get it though, I'd go NU.

Aside from a <1% chance at SCOTUS and maaaybe some elite lit boutiques, please name these opportunities.

For one, NU will give you more opportunities at big law jobs/fed clerkships than WUSTL will

Wait. Your LSN profile (assuming you are "cdoor") says you got 75K from NU and 145K from WUStL, i.e. 70K difference. Throw in accrued interest and the higher COL in Chicago and it seems like the cost difference between the schools is about 100-110K. Is that correct?
If so, NU. The better placement is worth 100-110K. Even if you have to debt finance it.

I read Samara as saying NU provided different opportunities, not more. Certainly there's no argument that NU's big law + clerkship % is higher.
