Not really. USNWRs has a feedback loop. Students are hyper-concerned with rankings and go to the highest school they get. So they get the better students.

Also a big chunk is based on what academics think. Which doesn't change.

If they put ASU at number ten, it's still not T14.
Correct. It then becomes the T15. :mrgreen:

(Hint: what makes 14 the magic number is because all of those specific schools have been ranked in the top 10 at least once.)

No, that is a stupid backward definition. It's not why it's called t14, it just happens to be true.
