Protip: OP, when you're soliciting knowledge and advice, it's best to avoid coming off as an insufferable prick. Yes, even when someone makes a mildly sarcastic comment. I know, it'll be tough at first, particularly if this is your true personality shining through. But suppressing that urge towards douchebaggery will go a long way in not making everyone instantly hate you. Which can only be a good thing.

Clearly -- people with huge post counts were offended.

Edit: Also, people who think that just because they COULD offer advice to someone (readily availably advice it turns out) means that that person has an "onus to be nice" to them have deep emotional issues. Fact of life kids.

I understand you might be more knowledgable, but when you're an ass, it's fair game for that person to be an ass back to you -- don't presume they have some sort of asinine obligation to be nice, and then be offended when they don't meet that expectation.

Worrying about what scholarships you'd take or turn down before being accepted is about as worthwhile as trying to talk to the OP.

People like you = people who tell me to be quite about forum etiquettes when the same could apply to the other guy.

I DID respond and try to take the discussion back early on, actually.

The consensus seems to be that CCN are preferable over the other T14s (except HYS). But big scholarships would convince some to go somewhere else...except when BigLaw NY is their main goal.

I guess the main concern is whether N gives you considerably better job prospects than the other T14s, and thus is it worth the presumed higher price tag? A full-ride at Cornell would be nice but if it's going to be difficult to get into BigLaw to begin with, it might not be worth it in the long term after all.

How hard is it to get into BigLaw if you don't get in immediately/shortly thereafter law school?
