Thanks! I suppose that is the drawback of an ED. My perception was Michigan and UVA were the best Hail Mary shots with a 3.9-165. Now I’ll just have to wonder if I could have landed an Ivy. All is good as is. . . still doing a Snoopy dance!

With an ED to Penn you might have - there was a 163 4.0 acceptance and a 166 3.94.

The 163/4.0 was "Hispanic - other," but the 166/3.94 was me; I'm Jewish, so I'm white and an ORM!

That is interesting. Seems like a 3.9 165 would have done the trick on an ED. Probably doubtful on an RD, right?

Withdrew my ED to Penn by calling and writing a explanatory email.

Accepted RD on 12/21!

Thanks!! Wanted to post to dispel the conventional wisdom that withdrawing from ED = auto WL/R.

grats. I didn't understand that logic one bit - you're an engineering major with a 173 LSAT and a decent GPA. They'd be fools not to put an acceptance in front of you. People can scream "YP" all they want, but I highly doubt most YP-victims are engineering majors.
