And CA is the most expensive state overall. That was a pitiful comeback JPU.deadpanic wrote:Right, but NYC is.JPU wrote:san diego =/= most expensive place in the USMrKappus wrote:I think, if you're gong to live on loans and take a gamble with a 60% chance of unemployment, you should live in the most expensive place in the U.S.

figure it out, NYC much more expensive. Weather is miserable, the babies (girls) are a fraction as cute as SoCal, the beaches are nicer, Mexican food is better, lifestyle is more laid back, and we have the Pads

Mr. Tso: Why don't you re-take and re-apply yourself? As far as I can tell the two kids who didn't do so and went to TJ are both now attending a much higher ranked school than yourself.

Lifetime NYC'er who spent three years very recently in SoCal. Other than living in Manhattan, I'd say L.A./Irvine/SD easily is more expensive.trialjunky wrote:^^^ this + I was saying out of the three musketeers radlaw was only one on this thread (which is unusual). It is possible to live in Yuma, Arizona and have it be more expensive than living in NYC if your lifestyle allows it to. Dollar for Dollar, all things considered, there is not a chance SD (nor Irvine, i went there for four years) is more expensive than NYC. (save for Rancho San Diego, certain parts of La Jolla and Del Mar.) A beer at an NYC bar is roughly $110, give or take a few.

You can't lose either way cause I think both sound pretty cool. NYC is awesome, and Judge Judy graduated from NYLS, so obviously that's a good option.
And the So. Cal. weather is perfect, plus you won't have to pay too much so that's pretty sweet.
Either way let me know what you decide/how you like your first year...I'm considering both.
And don't worry about people saying "don't go" and "you'll never get a job and be poor". There's really no reason for someone to say things like that unless are 1. a jerk, or 2. worried about you being additional competition for jobs. Just remember:
