Yeah, I now know who Jah'rakal is, so you're right. Definitely a troll and one of the most insufferable TLS has seen.Honeysuckle wrote:Jah'rakal actually is the name of a troll warlord from Warcraft III...but anyway, although his trolling is blatant to you and I, there's a chance that some clueless 0L might take his inane statements seriously, so Romo is doing a favor by calling him out on it. Unfortunately the general public thinks JD=golden ticket.

OP has recently accepted UF's offer of admission with an 18K/year a scholarship. Although this may not satisfy the T14 or bust crowd, I think OP will be OK, and for love the God, he's not going to JMU at sticker. Well done TLS, well done. To the OP: If you think you did as well as you could have done on the LSAT, and you applied early this cycle, then you are in as good a position as you could be. Best of luck to you! Enjoy the sunshine.

That is exactly what I told a 2L friend this week. She countered that Moot Court prepares us to actually be an attorney. I hope she’s right.Grizz wrote: . . . law school teaches you nothing about how to practice law.

My moot court was a Supreme Court brief and oral argument about a first amendment issue. So... no.Addy wrote:That is exactly what I told a 2L friend this week. I tend to agree that you are correct.
An additional question. Given that my first exam isn’t until next week, I may be overstepping my enthusiasm, BUT, if things work out where I have a choice of Law Review and Moot Court, would you advise going for both OR just picking one over the other (most say LR is the obvious choice). My concern on taking both regards time restraints. Some say it is doable, but advise against it.

Depends on your school and how feasible it is to do both. If you have a choice LR, unless you are gunning for PD/DA in which I MIGHT, maybe, do both or just moot. Maybe.Addy wrote:I tend to agree that you are correct.
