Someone should post the link to this thread onto Indiana TTTTech's facebook page.

Some truly groundbreaking thoughts there...
Looks like he won't be capitalizing "Dean" either.

Have they ever actually published the median numbers for the first class?

So close.Dean Alexander on Page 1 wrote:...we would like to open in third place among the five Indiana law schools so that would place our medians at approximately 156 for the LSAT and 3.5 for the GPA.
Also dat 2.5:1 Faculty/Student ratio.

They're only saying it's not useful because it's not emphasized enough. Kind of like the fix for a useless career services office is to double the size of the staff or the fix for a useless system of having students parrot back the casebook is to hire twice as many professors at higher salaries.Regulus wrote:
In conclusion, Indiana Tech is using something as a selling point despite the fact that one of the school's most fundamental documents clearly states that the majority of lawyers don't find it useful.

The table suggests only that lawyers think the way law schools currently teach ethics is not helpful, not that law schools shouldn't teach ethics or learning ethics generally is not helpful. I'm not convinced that Indiana Tech is doing anything differently from/better than any other law school - ethics is really hard to teach in any meaningful way and the class often does suck, and it only makes sense in practice - but I don't think the table is a problem as a selling point. The table says that the way law schools currently teach ethics, it's not helpful; Indiana Tech's response is to claim that it will solve that problem by teaching ethics better. I'm not remotely convinced that will work, but I don't think there's a logical problem with their claim.

This thread is GOLD.
andré douglas pond cummings is just so patently absurd that I don't even know where to begin. I almost can't believe that he's a real person and that he actually attended both BYU and Howard and that he actually presented “Tupac’s ‘Letter to the President’ and ‘Still I Rise’ as Intellectual Critique of American Law” at the "Tupac Amaru Shakur Collection Conference."
TLS did great work here. At least there are only 28 hapless souls at that festering TTT instead of 100.

Re: Indiana Tech Law School
I wonder what next year's class will look like. The administration has to know the school is in trouble. They missed their enrollment goals by A LOT. Do they just embrace their status as TTTT dive and keep admitting everyone with a pulse, or do they try to scrape together 25-30 people with halfway decent scores by throwing money at them?

This. I laughed so hard. A white guy going to a Morman school, then going to a historically black law school. This is kind of embarrassing for Valpo. I understand IT Law only has 28 students counting toward their median but still!riverwater wrote:LSAT: 146TheSpanishMain wrote:Have they ever actually published the median numbers for the first class?

Most of my professors practiced prior to teaching, and they "blend theory and practice" (whatever that means) every class period and it's nbd.TheSpanishMain wrote:But...but....they're blending theory and practice, you guys!

How this dean can talk about focusing on ethics and still sleep at night knowing the future of his school's grads is actually disturbing.

•States Represented: 6
•Percent Out-of-State: 32%
I want to know who endures the expense of moving out of their home state to attend this school.

30th percentile in case you were wondering. But isn't it the case that 80% of students who apply to law schools get accepted to at least one? Thought I saw that somewhere from spivey.

It's even more sad that it isn't even the lowest LSAT median for a law school in Indiana.NYstate wrote:riverwater wrote:LSAT: 146TheSpanishMain wrote:Have they ever actually published the median numbers for the first class?
