Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
I have it on good authority that Harvard drops out of the T14 and is replaced by ASU.
Also, when does UC Irvine get ranked? Is it this year?

Does it ever help you in your business knowing where the rankings will go or is it useless because you already know the facts behind the changes from your connections/publicly available information? Just out of curiosity.MikeSpivey wrote:...and then I'd never get a future copy early againRenne Walker wrote:And since you know several deans, I suppose you could slip us a little advance peek....MikeSpivey wrote:Law School Deans get an embargoed copy either the 10th or 11th, fyi.2012Lsatscore wrote:Sooo...are we waiting on the online release date (the 12th, I think) or is the list expected to be leaked before then?

you could just post it really quick and then edit it out... no one would EVER know that it came from you. If you delete it, it will be gone from the interview forever. True story.MikeSpivey wrote: ...and then I'd never get a future copy early again

rumors swirling that this is the year Cooley cracks the t14.
-But for real, look for Washington, Bama, and Wisconsin to drop, Wake Forest and Pepperdine to crack the top 35. You heard it here first

haha, not anytime soon. But i feel it can definitely crack the top 20 if the bar passage/employment/clerkship #s hold up.slack_academic wrote:I'm going to be kicking myself when UCI rockets into the T14.99.9luft wrote:next yearBildungsroman wrote:I have it on good authority that Harvard drops out of the T14 and is replaced by ASU.

Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
It's all based on rumors, but apparently they have a direct admit program for some of their undergrads and they may have admitted some weaker applicants from their undergrad pool into their class. idk how true this is, but something i feel will be displayed in the rankings if it's true.2012Lsatscore wrote:What's your reasoning for Bama? I'm scared shitless that they are going to jump or stay. Their employment numbers are unmatched compared to their comps and they seem to still have a loyal base of splitters ready to matriculate due to great schollies and southern hospitality. I'll eat my shoes if they ever allow their medians to drop. They will hold strong even if they have to cut the class size down to nothing.smitza1 wrote:rumors swirling that this is the year Cooley cracks the t14.

Pepperdine cracking top 35? What is the reasoning behind that? That would be a huge jump and I am not sure how you think it would occur.

Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
maybe top 35 was a bit ambitious, but it's a school that is dishing out a ton of scholly money, located in paradise, and has started getting much more respect within the legal community in the past few years. i just think this is the year they get the big jump.Dmini7 wrote:smitza1 wrote:rumors swirling that this is the year Cooley cracks the t14.

lol, their employment #s make me want to shoot myself in the face with a 12-gauge. Would not go even if they gave me a full ride (got almost that this cycle).smitza1 wrote:maybe top 35 was a bit ambitious, but it's a school that is dishing out a ton of scholly money, located in paradise, and has started getting much more respect within the legal community in the past few years. i just think this is the year they get the big jump.Dmini7 wrote:smitza1 wrote:rumors swirling that this is the year Cooley cracks the t14.

hahaha, good point except SoCal has so many places that are like or better than Malibu. But I understand how for some TTTexans, a school like Pepp. in cliche Malibu could be attractive, can't blame them, really, they're tourists.smitza1 wrote:bahahahahaha a full ride to live in malibu? who cares about the job afterwards?99.9luft wrote: lol, their employment #s make me want to shoot myself in the face with a 12-gauge. Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
Couldn't a person just... move to Malibu? Wouldn't that also be free?
Or is the problem that no bank would lend the money to cover CoL for 3 years?
I'm starting to understand how this works...

Re: 2014 Rankings Waiting Thread
I don't see Pepperdine's ranking increasing at all. I actually would not be surprised if it dropped. They have nearly identical numbers to Loyola. Also, It costs a fortune to live in Malibu. I don't think Pepperdine is a wise option for most people, and I really can't imagine it jumping more than one or two schools(excluding American). Also as soon as I was typing this I got a call from a faculty member of Pepperdine wanting to give me more info lol.
