How does that even make sense? If you don't enjoy your life in NYC, chances are there is somewhere in the entire world where you'd be happier. Either that or it's time for prozac

I LOL'd. Reminds me of the Bay Area attitude: even though we're all broke, we'll NEVER leave.

hahaha, exactly. NYCers, Bay-ers, and Texans need to be shot. Those 3 are probably the worst for this mentality despite many of them never having lived anywhere else (in America). I said in America because it seems most NYCers and Bay-ers were born abroad.

DC, Boston or Atlanta...I still can't believe that DC or ATL is not an option.

You don't have to earn 250k a year to enjoy NYC. I'm making not even a fifth of that, and I still love the city. That is sort of the point though. I don't claim that NYC is objectively better, but it certainly starts to feel superior after you've put in enough time. As you can see, this may cause difficulties with actual Americans.

Having lived in SF a long time I can safely say not here.

It has more homeless people and drug users in any square mile than any other big city I've been to, except for maybe DC, which also has homeless but much fewer open drug users. It's also perpetually windier than most other big cities. If you get rid of the "people" that live there, then maybe it has a shot.
Um, yeah but you're presupposing that our homeless people are a negative. Case in point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Famous_Bushman. Regarding the drugs, not hard to avoid. Regarding the wind, it's worth having it the first time you watch a visiting shortstop muff a pop up in person.
After being physically accosted by SF homeless, I'm gonna say yes, they are a negative. SF and DC are automatically disqualified in this competition just by the sheer number they have per square mile.

Has anyone mentioned Dallas? I love Dallas and the economy is doing way better than most places in the country. Weather is great, city is awesome.

Okay, I'm in San Diego this week and I have to say, this place kicks ass. It's a good thing I didn't go to San Diego State (the biggest party school down here, located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood) - I never would have finished college! (Then again, I'm sure their curriculum is a joke.)

This has probably been brought up somewhere in the past 14 pages...

But what about Los Angeles?! Beaches, attractions, nightlife, weather, entertainment, celebrities, and on and on. Hands down one of the best places to live for anyone in their 20s or even 30s. Be sure to keep close to the Westwood though and not that crummy side of town where USC is...

SDSU is nowhere near Pacific Beach.

Did not read this thread, but I think we need some bracket style polls in a less ridiculous format than the best places to practice law STL/KC combination over at ATL.

Or not, either way.
