Complaint wasn't about UT Zuck. They're doing it right.

You're such a silly goose, your rage against the big law machine doesn't need to bleed into this thread duder. If you want to crusade against something, help us kick Michigan out of the T13 for good just like it deserves.Nebby wrote:I mean I am pessimistic enough to think that emkay just wanted to weirdly humblebrag. I honestly have no idea what about the numbers are misleading, because emkay doesn't explain what they mean by "misleading."BigZuck wrote:That would be a huge time suck and it wouldn't capture everything. Think about it you silly billy.Nebby wrote:Unnecessary. If you want to know what type of grads go to what firm, then hit up ATL or the firm's website and look at bios.emkay625 wrote:I wish schools were required to disclose firm names. The numbers alone are misleading. For instance, I'm going to a firm with less than 100 attorneys but the pay is still big law pay. The rise in lit boutiques and patent/IP boutiques isn't accounted for just solely going based off of numbers, which is frustrating.
She's saying that there are high paying smaller firms that don't get captured in the 100+ person firm metric you goofball. I don't know if it's really much of a point worth making (for example, someone going to a firm like Susman would be clerking first so they do get counted), but that's clearly what she's saying. I think even a Nebby can comprehend that.

100+ is our best attempt to balance out the good outcomes below 100 with the bad outcomes above 100.

Yeah, I was just following the trail of complaints, yours obviously was a general point.Tiago Splitter wrote:Complaint wasn't about UT Zuck. They're doing it right.
I don't think most people even know that data is on the website though, they should probably make it more prominent. Or, like you said, everyone should have to do it.

Buffalo has a link to the 2015 data, but it leads to the 2014 data.

I'd definitely like it to be a requirement, but whether or not the Sophisticated Consumers would ever actually read it is another question.BigZuck wrote:Yeah, I was just following the trail of complaints, yours obviously was a general point.Tiago Splitter wrote:Complaint wasn't about UT Zuck. But they do follow a standard taxonomy/nomenclature. Changing the 14 to a 15 gets you what you want:Biglaw1990 wrote:Buffalo has a link to the 2015 data, but it leads to the 2014 data.

That's a huge jump if accurate. They were at 3.5% last year and they've been at most 6% since at least c/o 2010.Biglaw1990 wrote:Albany-12.02%
