But to be fair if you think UVa is a better school than NYU neither do you. hthJSUVA2012 wrote:QFP.Kronk wrote:Yeah I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.JSUVA2012 wrote:Wait, Kronk is a 0L?

How do you feel about your prospects in bigNORFOLKlaw?showNprove wrote:It's a good thing Kronk got a scholarship at UVa. Now he can go to a school with top-5 placement for a fraction of the cost. Thank goodness NYU-sticker isn't his best option, or he'd be living in Marcy PJ's doing his ultra-spectacular PI clinic.

HONESTLY--which of the following are you going to kick out?
Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Chicago, Columbia.
Your move.

Luckily there aren't any marquee law school is West Virginia. That way, UVa can dominate all spousal abuse and missing teeth cases.showNprove wrote: All of the above. Yale and Stanford can hang around, because they dominate Connecticut and Oakland biglaw.

Re: Top Placing Classes (NLJ250 and Federal Clerkships)
I'm in grad school at UCLA right now, and from what I could tell that new dean they hired did a GREAT job here. I've also been assured that Chicago is expanding its PI support, and I have a good deal of faith in Chicago's strategy as an institution and that with a new dean they will be making some nice improvements.Kronk wrote: Spoke with a Chicago professor on the phone yesterday for awhile and was very impressed and excited about what is going on over there for public interest people. Also none of the faculty I've contacted from Boalt or NYU have responded to me and its been a few weeks, and I've been in close contact with three professors from Chicago who assuaged my worries about Chicago's lack of PI support.

I think the UVA hiring boost is reparations for having to deal with that tragic shooting several years ago.

Also Michigan students get street credit for getting the JD wings so close to Detroit. ITE Wall Street needs some of that 8 mile street cred, and UofM students fill that void. Bitches gotta pay for their ARMs amiright?
