Re: Why no love for Pepperdine?
I would rock Pepperdine easily as long as I wasn't paying sticker. The legal market in Cali just seems saturated with law schools and the budget crisis the state is facing has scared me off from looking at that state. I did apply to Davis and Santa Clara but only because I got application fee waivers and I still have yet to hear back.
If the price was 25-30K instead of almost 40K a YEAR and the state of California wasn't in a mess then I would be more willing to give Pepperdine a look. How can you not like Malibu?
As to the religion component, shit its not THAT bad. I am a right of center person, although I am pro-choice and would like to see weed legalized, so I think I could get through three years of Pepperdine. I mean its not BYU for God's sake...now that school...FUCK THAT.

I actually want to go to pepperdine because of it's evangelical heritage. although i'm hoping it won't be as conservative as GMU. I know a lot of christian attorneys/judges and its like this secret underground and general understanding... really helpful to have colleagues in the future, as you will cross paths for sure. i'd rather form relationships with my classmates than be cut throat.

well considering a KAPLAN bar review course is around 1k-2k and I'll be attending Pepperdine for free, i'm gonna go ahead and say it's worth rolling the dice on...
