That picture makes it look much nicer than it actually is. It felt like an underground bunker when I visited.
I was about to say something to that effect. The buildings look pretty nice on the outside, but the inside leaves something to be desired, sort of the opposite for Columbia IMO.
Of the three T14 libraries I've seen in person, Virginia > Duke >>> NYU
I thought Penn was pretty nice. Nothing overwhelming, but comfortable.

The above picture of Michigan someone posted is of our reading room. Really aesthetically beautiful, but I prefer studying in the attached extension to the library that is 30 years old or so, with couches and tables and huge windows/more lighting. The juxtaposition of the new and the old is really nice, depending on what you prefer since you can easily go to one or the other, since they are attached to each other.

Hey, everybody, you're not going to get in trouble if you scale your pictures down a bit.

I love our library, but it's not extravagant, so it will never win any "Most Beautiful Law Library" awards.

These are just images linked from the internet. TLS scales them huge.

Yeah, that's not nearly as impressive as the one with the statue. ;)

I can't find a decent picture, but the Stanford Law Library is really nice. Unlike most law schools, Stanford has nearly one (Hermann Miller Aeron Chair) seat for every student. The library does feel small, but that's because the incoming 1L class is only 170 students. It doesn't have any sort of a "historic" or "legal" feel to it, but it's nice, well-lit, with helpful staff, free printing, and 24-hour access.

The more you try and sell it without a picture, the sadder it sounds...

Georgetown is pretty nice when I visited. I found this pic online. I have no idea how to upload my own pics on here.
