is no one going to point out that STL firm is not a realistic employment outcome for someone who didn't go to a STL high school? the "small mid tier" segment of the STL market isn't likely to be any less insular. i wouldn't touch WUSTL without some pre-existing connections to the type of medium sized city within ~2-3 states of missouri that view it as semi prestigious. i think your most likely market for job offers from WUSTL is going to be NYC, and your odds of getting something legal are still way lower from there than cornell. you can try to be picky once you're in a law school and get one job offer but it's way too early to be picky with respect to markets now. go where you can get employed. here, that's cornell. if it costs too much, try again next year.

If you want to avoid NYC, then retake and reapply....Cornell is only good for NYC and that's about it. And I wouldn't go to WUSTL...

OP, based on your outcomes, I have to believe that there was something in your application that could be improved (personal statement, diversity statement, resume, why X, etc.). January is not too late, and you definitely under performed given your numbers. I am also an international student (U.S. undergraduate gpa) with slightly lower stats (on both), and got very similar (slightly better) outcomes than you. So while I'm all for going to school now when you feel is right, if you are not convinced with either options, I think sitting out and reapplying with an improved application can help. Northwestern ED would definitely be a good option for you as well.
