Michigan is $62k cheaper AT GRADUATION here, let alone ten years later. I'm confident enough (if not completely so) in smaller class sizes + self selection hypothesis that I'd save money at Mich here, which will probably amount to like $85k over the loan life. Any large firm employer will tell you these are peer schools. To suggest otherwise is absurd on its face. Peer schools do not justify this cost difference, not for actual grownups.
Anyway, this is entirely moot unless Cornell comes down in cost. I'm skeptical that ANY law school is worth the $200k range... but whatever you think about HYSCCN, the lower T14 is certainly not.
This is just a tougher year for applicants. I think fall '15 matriculants hit the sweet spot. See if these schools will play ball... good luck OP.
