You should still do Cornell, but if you VOMIT at the thought of Ithaca, then Penn could be alright. That doesn't really help you maintain your social status though.

Okay, so they offered me 30,000 in need based, then 90,000, so it should be 120,000.

Firstly, congrats on an excellent cycle.
As a fellow NYC resident. I would choose Columbia. Live at home and commute to school. If you go Cornell, you need to pay for room and board, food, and other sorts of expenses. Sure, you'll be in a bit more debt. But, Columbia is close to home and the best option.

Where did OP say anything about being able to live with their parents if they went with Columbia or NYU? All they said was that parents would cover COL, seemingly at any school.

Also, as a former NYC resident who took $$$$ at Cornell over $$ at CCN, I have no regrets.
