*deposit amounts in parentheses*
Yale: 5/4 (250)
Harvard: 5/1 (0)
Stanford: 5/4 (?)

Schools that explicitly prohibit double depositing (not exhaustive): USC, Notre Dame, Minnesota (after 5/15)
*3/15 edit to include all top 50. If you've got any, let me know!*
Thanks!
It's in the scholarship letter but I called the Director of Admissions at Notre Dame today and they said that isn't a hard policy. Basically after April 15th they submit their list of students who have deposited out to LSAC who will turn around and give ND a list of all the students who have multiple deposits at the beginning of May. At that point ND will contact you and ask you to make a decision within 48 hours or so or else they will assume you have withdrawn. The policy was made up because people were tying up way too much scholarship money bu submitting deposits at 7 or 8 different schools (rumor has it one guy put down so many different deposits he was tying up close to $1million in schollys across all his different schools last year).
Jacob Baska (Director of ND Admissions and Fin Aid) said that they are super understanding if you have an April 1 deadline and couldn't get an extension and you can just call ND and discuss your situation. He seemed like a pretty cool guy and legit said "go ahead and post on all the message boards that the people at Notre Dame are nice, reasonable people" lol
tl;dr It's not a strict policy at ND - call them and they will be flexible and help you sort it out.

Proof that public disapproval about a policy from the TLS community can change admissions behavior? I'd like to think so.splitstack89 wrote:6778628 wrote:It is reportedly in your scholarship letter. Vanderbilt is April 24th
Remember that some schools have a scholly reservation deadline. In this case USC's is the 15th.

Re: 2015 seat deposit deadlines
So, since I've seen enough people ask to become paranoid about it, unless explicitly stated otherwise, there's no penalty for double depositing at two accepted schools, right?
I might not be able to visit one of the two until the first week of May and would withdraw from one of them before May 15.

Re: 2015 seat deposit deadlines
UF has a 4/15 deadline for scholly recipients. They wont extend more than 2 days and require withdrawal from all other programs.

Re: 2015 seat deposit deadlines
it might be worth noting that UVA forbids double depositing after may 17 according to their online deposit page http://lawnotes2.law.virginia.edu/busin ... onsDeposit
I figure most people will have withdrawn by may 15th since that's when lsac reveals double depositors, but I figured I might as well note it regardless

When you ask for a deposit deadline extension, do you ask in general or for a specific time frame?
Thanks
