EDIT: I didn't see the part where UF almost matched the scholarship. That makes it a lot closer, and lobbying is a pretty unicornish job anyway. But to build the kind of connections with the government that a "lobbying" job would require, being in Tallahassee sure would help.

It's not half the price. It is around $33k at FSU and $40k at UF. $7k is not really a big difference. Tally is also slightly more expensive than Gainesville. I agree that FSU has better employment numbers in government. Seems like OP has more connections to UF and would be happier there. For $7k I think that's a completely reasonable decision.
