But I imagine it is at least somewhat on a sliding scale.

It really depends on what you mean by that.

Oooh ok, yeah no I grew up in St. Louis, can tell them my high school, etc. I only left for undergrad. :)

When I said connections I meant that I know lawyers in St. Louis, dunno if that helps or not.

Guess what? I received an LSAC fee waiver and I took the test 3 times.

All I'm saying is don't lash out at us just because you're too naive to realize that a couple of anecdotes don't tell the whole picture and because you're easily sucked in by promotional materials.

By all means, if WUSTL is cheap (cheaper than what you have, you don't just fall into 60K jobs and even if you got one it would suck to pay 100K+ back on just that) and you have modest career goals (not international big law) then go to WUSTL. But in the very likely scenario that your career dreams don't materialize because they aren't very realistic and because you didn't do the best you could to make them happen, don't say we didn't warn you. Get mad all you want but people here are just trying to help you achieve your goals for as cheap as possible. Again, if that makes you upset that's your problem, not ours.
