Give Rutgers a polite call to let them know you're in at SH with money and would like to weigh that option against RU. When did you apply? I suspect they are going to let you in anyway. Just FYI you get instate tuition there so your starting point is still the same/better than SHU w/ scholarship. Plus Rutgers offers housing across the street and stuff like free gym, basic healthcare, and other trappings of a large university.
Seton hall is doing good work and plays the prestige game beautifully. Their alums have populated the local federal bench in good numbers. They are blessed with a lot of resources and fortunate location. I respect most of what comes out of there, but Rutgers is keeping up (with fewer resources) and is the more established entity in NJ. Its name in other regions is better known. Culturally, it's a bit different too-- more progressive and diverse than most law schools. It has a good prognosis because it is having an easier time keeping enrollment steady with its markedly lower tuition, and the merger deal being worked out with Camden is expected to unlock a lot of resources from the central university. Their model is Wisconsin-Minnesota-Iowa-- a progressive NY metro version of those schools. They may never reach those rankings, but their model is a solid one and their affiliation with a public ivy is a good start.
You need to see which one feels better if it comes down to that decision. I had the same decision to make.
Good luck.
