Okay last call. Finally updated OP with COA. Does this change anyone's opinion?

I'd choose NU. The money, location plus a ton of students with WE.

Cornell for free is a great option but I think Northwestern is the right call here. $27,000 in loans can be paid off in a year.

WIth your updated info, I change my vote to NW. Its cheap, great school for your goals, and keeps you in your market of interest. I don't really see a reason to pay more for UofC unless you really prefer it for some personal reason.

NU is probably the right choice. If you didn't care if you ended up in Chicago vs. NYC, I would vote Cornell. However, it sounds like you are gunning for Chicago, and Cornell is not the best school for that market. Congratulations!

I'd lean NW, but since you're from Chicago with a patent law background I don't really think you'll have trouble getting back there. If you prefer Ithaca or want to save $27k, no problem with choosing Cornell IMO.

Every one of these choices is defensible imo. I'd say NU > Cornell + 27K if you're set on Chicago. Probably a toss up between Chicago and NU as the cost difference isn't that significant, and your overall debt level isn't going to be very high to begin with. If you have any preference for academia/clerkships or just love Chicago that much more than NU I'd take Chicago. Otherwise NU seems like the best choice.
