Yeah. I went to a similarly ranked UG and there are people who ended up going to Elon Law and Charlotte. It's always hard to tell whether they had such awful numbers that it's all they could get or they were just that misinformed about law school.haus wrote:Perhaps she had a 2.01 GPA at UMich and could not help herself and choose the letter 'D' for every question on the LSAT.jingosaur wrote: Also, on a non-sarcastic note, who the hell goes to UMich undergrad and then Cooley?!?!

Is weather a part of Cooley's rankings?!?!? It should be.
I went to UG in the south after never being south of Maryland my whole life and about 90% of my decision was weather so I see where they're coming from. Students who would go to Cooley probably care about weather. I just did a winter flying in and out of Chicago every week and working in barren Central Illinois (locals say that it's colder and windier than Chicago BUT there not as much snow!). It wasn't really as bad as I anticipated.

Does Cooleys COA include buying winter clothes? I wonder how many potential students ask for a stipend for thick socks. They can always use the loan money to winterized their wardrobe.......Cooley is totally worth it.

I donno. I have some (Facebook) friends from UG (Berkeley) who ended up at TTTs, and I know they graduated with honors. I know one had high departmental honors (same major), yet she ended up at Thomas Jefferson. I have a feeling it's because her dad is a multi-millionaire lawyer so she's set no matter what.haus wrote:Perhaps she had a 2.01 GPA at UMich and could not help herself and choose the letter 'D' for every question on the LSAT.jingosaur wrote: Also, on a non-sarcastic note, who the hell goes to UMich undergrad and then Cooley?!?!

Y'know I would guess that these students are more representative than you'd think. I bet that those are all things that lots of people that don't have high numbers will regularly say about themselves, so hearing that from someone who is ostensibly succeeding in law school is more likely to grab the type of person they want to attract (i.e. not the 3.0/160+ people who regularly troll these forums).StephenMU19 wrote:

Also ONU has the third best employment score in Ohio (behind ND and OSU). I'm not sure if that says good things about ONU or horrible things about the rest of the schools that feed into Ohio.
