If his dad is some boomer who's been doing it for a while it can be pretty lucrative

I'd commute 1 hour and 30 mins to Gainesville from Orlando before I went to FAMU or Barry. It would still be cheaper.

DSmejkal wrote:The very fact that you think that you think that people do not have a valid law degree from either Barry or Famu shows that most of you have no idea what you are talking about. Barry had a 92 percent first time bar passage rate while FAMU had an 82 percent passage rate in 2013. Not to mention how many of Barry and FAMU alumni are in the Super Lawyer Magazines. Please stop being so rude. I wont even address the comments abut my father and his firm, his awards, ratings and peers speak for him. I simply asked which one is better. If you can't answer that then don't post.
Barry is the better school. I mean that in the sense that I'd rather have a cheese grater dragged across my arm than across my face.

Trust me, these people are being dicks to you because they don't want you to end up unemployed. Barry and FAMU are god awful schools, and being an Orlando native, it raises my blood pressure to see my classmates post on Fb about going to these law schools when my other friends who made the same status updates 4 years ago are looking for work as teachers/paralegals.

Purely anecdotal but still relevant.

Barry Law School, where knowing a guy who got a job from there is a selling point.

I think you bros are bein a little harsh

I mean Barry and FAMU are garbage, there's no way around it

But if all you need is the piece of paper to work for pops

And you can get out for cheap

It's fine

Yeah but is it worth $100k more for slightly less rancid garbage (Barry) or should OP go to FAMU?

Those are just sticker prices. But over 1/3 of kids from both of these schools lose their scholarships. I sincerely hope OP isn't considering these at sticker....
