Spend the next day drilling logic games. If you average over 4 wrong, go to WUTSL, if less than 4, retake. If 4, flip a coin

Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
since you have a retake and are willing to use it, retake, esp for clerkship goals a few more points on the LSAT will make your life a lot easier in the long run of things, also biglaw %s jump dramatically from WUSTL to MVPDCN

From what I've seen, you have numbers far superior to others getting full rides at WUTSL so I agree in that you will likely be offered something as good next yearTiago Splitter wrote:Their desperation isn't going to die down next year.

Did you read any LG bibles before or just tried winging the section through practice?

If your choice was between t14 with some money vs. WUSTL full ride, would you choose t14 with some money? If so, retake seems like a better idea.

Probably would take WUSTL full over Anywhere up to CLS with just $$.

Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
If it was me, I'd jump on the full ride then...but I'm debt averse and a 0L making a somewhat similar (but not nearly as difficult) choice, so take my biased advice with a grain of salt.sublime wrote:Merylian wrote:If your choice was between t14 with some money vs. WUSTL full ride, would you choose t14 with some money? Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
yea. CLS w/ $$ is an unlikely outcome anyway and I definitely wouldn't risk losing the full ride and a possibly bad retake to bank on it, so if you wouldn't take MVDCN with small scholarships over WUSTL, go to WUSTL.sublime wrote:Merylian wrote:If your choice was between t14 with some money vs. WUSTL full ride, would you choose t14 with some money? Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
blah. well I'd say you'd need a 172 or 173 to pull off those schollies, and a 176+ for H. if you don't think you can get 172+, thensublime wrote:jbagelboy wrote:yea. Yea, it would probably be something like
H>CLS/NYU $$> Duke 90k > Cornell (or peer) 120k > WUSTL full > Anything below CCN with $$ or less
is TCR
also FWIW duke and cornell are basically peers

I think with your numbers, a full ride at WUSTL is a pretty sweet deal.

That gpa+169=90K at Duke and Cornell this cycle. OP is so very close to that.
Can understand the pull of the free ride in the hand however.

I say WUSTL, but retaking would by no means be a bad choice.

Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
I would definitely take WUSTL for free if you would be happy working in MO or nearby. If you absolutely won't be happy unless you get some ultra-prestigious BS like DoJ or CoA clerk or something, that stuff is a stretch anywhere but really outside the realistic realm at WUSTL. If you gotta have that shot, sit out and retake and you'll prob get Duke or higher next year. If you just want to be lawyer, you can't do much better than this deal: three years at a nice school in a place you know debt free with ~2/3 shot a lawyer job and ~1/4 shot at a "tls good outcome." Jump on it.

Was trying to illustrate a point. The 172 is only strictly necessary for H/$ at CLS. You're right I should have broken it down more carefuly

Re: WUSTL(full tuition scholarship) vs Retake
It's certainly no guarantee as I was the lowest numbers who got that scholarship that I know of, and that was only after Cornell first offered 90K and they matched. I do think that 4 more points and the OP would probably get the 90K which he says he would prefer over this offer. I think 166 to 170+ is pretty easily doable, especially if games was a big weakness. Duke is a much better choice for biglaw+clerkship.jbagelboy wrote:My badBigZuck wrote:*ahem*jbagelboy wrote:blah. well I'd say you'd need a 172 or 173 to pull off those schollies, and a 176+ for H. if you don't think you can get 172+, then

But free WUSTL isn't bad at all so I wouldn't fault the OP if he took it.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
