they're all overrated. every last one. because the profession is overrated. the degree is diluted. there is a massive oversupply of people ostensibly able to do the job, and not one school has taken a meaningful step toward curing the structural ills of the legal field.

I understand this topic has the potential to turn into a complete shitstorm, but that is not my desire. Are there any tier1/tier2 schools that are ranked too high despite poor employment numbers?

1) I understand that employment numbers are poor for most schools. The question is more an outing of schools that are ranked higher than schools with better employment numbers or an opportunity for schools with good numbers to be highlighted despite lower rankings.
2) I am unconcerned with anyone's ranking of a school based on:
-Student to teacher ratio
-Teaching methods
-Sports teams/Mascots

If you mean any legal job, look at law school transparency (linked earlier in this thread).
However, they do not differentiate jobs by quality (among other criticism not worth discussing)

If you mean good jobs, check out the NLJ250 list, which reflects hiring at the largest law firms.

Lastly, check out this link from last year, which compiles all employment data for you to consider. Large firms and federal clerkships are considered the most desirable outcomes. Academia is questionable because outside of HYS, most jobs aren't desirable long term jobs. Government runs the gamut from US attorney general to county clerk assistants, while corporate doesn't differentiate between inhouse, Ibanking/consulting, or Starbucks barrista
