All I care about is purchasing an affordable dwelling post-graduation.BerkeleyBear wrote:OP, I'm from Sacramento. Don't go to fucking McGeorge. It's near shitty Oak Park and it has terrible employment stats. UCD is the no-brainer. BTW, you want to live in stockton? Are you fucking kidding me? It's a terrible city for numerous reasons. But you should know this.. I'd take cow town if I were you.Crocodile Duck wrote:Uc davis and mcgeorge are both regional schools. What diff does it make?J90 wrote:Don't condescend on it when you're considering McGeorge. The job options coming out of Davis for Sacramento work are entirely different, and you even have a shot at good money there with your numbers. Going to McGeorge would be like getting into Cal for undergrad and choosing ITT Tech... except ITT Tech would give you better job opportunities than McGeorge would.Crocodile Duck wrote:UC Dervis? I Don't want to live in cow town. PLus, I was also considering living in Stockton.
You'd be wasting three years of your life.
Please, please don't choose McGeorge with your numbers.

Re: McGeorge School of Law
The very first response in this thread is a link to employment statistics. Responses below that outline why several CA schools are far better than McGeorge. Other posts explain why your anecdotal "But I know lawyers in Sac who went to this dung school!" is wrong. Either take the damn advice or don't.Crocodile Duck wrote:If there is no difference, then why are you all telling me to go to davis? Good school but i hate the area, wouldnt stand living there for 3 years.
FYI: I highly doubt you have the numbers you say you do. Or else you wouldn't be fighting to prove how awesome it is to go to UoP for 3 years and have no job afterwards to people on the internet.
Enjoy McGeorge.

All in all. Davis gives you much better employment prospects. However, if you are set on McGeorge, go in with realistic expectations (and better hope you have some connections/they offer $$$ with no stips).

Most of stockton isn't Brookside Country Club. He loves the school but not the city.Crocodile Duck wrote:Ever heard of Brookside Country Club? Yeah, that's where it's at...btw UOP engineering is pretty good.eav1277 wrote:I meant Sac is better than stockton.

Guy outed himself as a complete troll when he said he didn't want to live in Davis but is cool with Stockton. Davis isn't San Francisco but it's a pretty nice town and about one million times better than Stockton.

That you're a robber with a felony arrest record whose ambition is limited to attending the 101st ranked law school in the country with atricous employment records in one of the poorest and most dangerous cities in the United States?Crocodile Duck wrote:jealous?togepi wrote:Somebody with his mentality does not deserve those numbers.

Not really, especially if you do go to McGeorge. If you can score above the 90th percentile on the LSAT, you should know what you're getting yourself into. Even a full scholarship there is risky.Crocodile Duck wrote:jealous?togepi wrote:Somebody with his mentality does not deserve those numbers.
