Partly because I'm looking for a career with more geographic flexibility (the field I'm in is strictly limited to DC, and I don't want to live here forever), and I've also hit an educational ceiling in my current field where I wouldn't be able to move up to other kinds of work I would be interested in without a graduate degree.
