UVA for sure right now. I haven't received the expected scholly packets from UMN and WUSTL yet. And W&M scholly isn't enough to pull me from UVA.

Finally. WVU needs some stiff competition for the big coal law jobs. I'm in!AriGoldButNicer wrote:I accept you. I started a law school in an old crack house. Once we get some pages typed and taped together, our library will be good to go. We won't be accredited but will be pushing hard in the Cooley rankings. I know a guy in West Virginia who will let us keep a trailer in his park so technically we have 2 campuses already.
Congrats!!

Well, probably Texas... I would try to sweet talking them into throwing a few more bucks my way.
Also got into:
William and Mary (OOS, but 12k a year)
Texas Tech (23k/year)

I'd probably go to Iowa (full ride OOS with a stipend). But Minnesota is tempting ($27,000/yr) and I love Madison (but still waiting to hear about scholarships... GAH). Love my William and Mary scholarship offer but want Midwest midlaw so it probably wouldn't be ideal for my goals.

If it ended today, W&L....I didn't expect to get in, let alone a 20k scholly.

UConn on a full ride (all three years) until I find out what BU offers me...

Re: If the cycle ended today....
If my cycle ended today (and it pretty much has) UConn on a full ride for all three years.
Reasons:
1) It's much closer to my hometown than Michigan (only an hour drive) and I'm really close to my mother and grandmother. Was going to suck being all the way in Michigan.
2) Michigan = 200K+ in debt UConn = Full Ride for 3 years
3) Hartford offers better job prospects for my S/O than does A2.
4) I'd be happy practicing in New England when all is said and done
5) Tax is what I want to do and they have a rich curriculum for Tax.

Ranking the schools I've been accepted to so far:
1) UCLA-loved my campus visit, solid California job prospects (which is where I want to work)
2) Duke-still need to visit the campus, have heard wonderful things about them, a fair amount of grads go to CA
3) USC-loved my campus visit as well, but weakest overall job prospects out of all of them.
4) Cornell-I really don't think I could live in Ithaca for 3 years with the weather and reputation for competitive students. Also, almost all the jobs you would get are in NY and I would really prefer a job in CA

Re: If the cycle ended today....
I think I'd have to take IUB up on their full ride. Some other schools I've been accepted at (W&M and OSU) have marginally better employment prospects. But, I don't think they give me that much better of a chance to risk the debt. If one of my (T14) reaches had called me up though, I would have probably taken the gamble.

Probably NYU--it was my first choice from the beginning. My heart can't give up Michigan yet, though. Good thing I still have a few months to consider.

Probably Michigan. Although, I've always wanted to attend GULC, purely because I <3 DC.
