I absolutely loved LA when I visited. Fell in love with the hills, the mountains, the ocean, the palm trees, and the Hollywood "it" factor. Some people have told me that I wouldn't love it if I lived there... Guess you're a testament to that. I honestly don't know what the heck I'll do.

I've been throwing around the idea of the University of San Diego this weekend. A little less traffic than LA, and Coronado Beach is a gem. Even though the school is obviously regional, committing myself to a life in San Diego might not be a terrible decision if the price is right.

San Francisco wins.
This post is filled with nuance. It doesn't make sweeping generalizations. Congrats.

ETA: LOL at anyone who thinks Silverlake is the nicest part of L.A.

Did this but with a girl who went to college in SoCal (albeit one year) and it was almost enough. They want to hear thought-out reasons why you want to stay long-term. Personally, along with some other friends, I've heard success when you spent 1L in the market you want to be in for 2L. So getting a 1L summer pro bono in one of those places can help your chances if you don't go to school there.

Go to USC/UCLA/UCI/Pepperdine/Loyola before San Diego. Do well at those schools and you can still end up at a BigLaw in San Diego. I imagine that USD isn't doing well for OCIs.

Odds are if I wind up attending a school where they OCI, I'll be forced to pay off some pretty hefty loans and they would give me that opportunity if I can nail the interview (plus hopefully mobility to an office like LA, Tampa, or JAX eventually).

Lol on the "SoCali" thing. I always called it "SoCal" but a user on ESPN.com told me everyone there calls it "SoCali." For some reason, I think I'm better off trust the TLS users than those on ESPN.com haha.

Thanks a ton for the advice guys. With still probably at least 10 days before the earliest possible LSAT release date, I'd have to say I'm leaning towards UVA ED unless I break the 170 mark.
The easiest way to tell that someone is not from here is when they say "Cali". It sounds so DUMB. Norcal and Socal, or just plain California. It's funny to me when people think they're "in the know" by using Cali...no fault on your part though.
