UCLA vs. Georgetown. UCLA gives more $$$. Comparable everything else, unless you're a DC or bust.MrPapagiorgio wrote:Can some of the UCLA voters explain themselves? UCLA vs. UT. IMO, LA is much better than Texas, although it will be more expensive, I'd rather live in LA for 3 years than in Texas. I think both of those schools are somewhat more regional than the rest, I'd much rather had a higher shot at practicing in Cali than in Texas, even if that cost more.
UCLA vs. Cornell. UCLA gives money, meaning less debt. I don't know if I could survive those long boring winters in Ithaca.
UCLA vs. Duke. UCLA gives more money. Duke is a very good schools in the south, but that is if you are willing to live and practice in the south, which is a very real possibility with Duke. I wouldn't so it is not an option for me due to personal preferences.
OP, those options are very close, so visit the schools. Also, go hang out in the cities/town where those schools are located.

Shocked at the Cornell sticker over Duke sticker-Cornell is more expensive. I'm interested in this as well. How are people deciding between Vandy and UT?

I know it's the best right now but you would think with efficient markets, things may even themselves out eventually.MrPapagiorgio wrote:NYC biglaw has arguably suffered the least. Cali is dead. DC and Chicago are not too far behind.bender18 wrote:Lol sometimes I wonder if this site is going to single-handedly make the NYC biglaw market one of the most competitive in the country in a couple of years.
NYC resident disclaimer: 160K in NYC with $200,000 in debt is no picnic. After taxes, debt payments and COL (especially food and rent), you are not left with very much.
