1. UVA
2. Stanford
3. Duke
4. Berkeley
5. Everything else.

Basically, I have no interest in spending three years in any place that is remotely cold, having spent most of life in Chicago with its nasty winters, and I hate big cities. One of those two things basically rules out the rest of the T14.

Did you actually live in Chicago? or just semi-near Chicago? It's just most people I've met on here who claim to be from Chicago and hate city life are actually from Crystal Lake/Highland Park/Oakbrook or some other burb and have never lived in the city.

I am a lay prestige whore who loves the Northeast and hates the cold weather, in that order.
Then why did you rank Chicago above Duke? No lay prestige, not in the NE, and very cold weather.

I know next to nothing about Columbia's LRAP (as opposed to NYU's), but #4 is super-credited.
Basically it's the LRAP closest to HYS. It's downright gold if you land a government job paying over 60K ( it's the only non HYS LRAP that covers government jobs with good salaries).
Cornell's isn't quite as good as Columbia's number-wise, but it covers government jobs with good salaries.

No, I live in Chicago. Went to grade school in Uptown, moved to the burbs for high school, and then moved back to the city when I started college. Lived in the Loop for three years, Old Irving Park for a year, and am currently in Rogers Park.

Am I allowed to hate city life now?

Nashville is an amazing city that's nothing like the country, uneducated stereotype you might attribute to it. HTH.
Thanks. I'm pretty sure I know what Nashville is like, seeing as I've visited many times. I have other reasons to not want to live there...

Penn
Duke (visited and loved it!!!)/NYU
Harvard
Columbia
Georgetown
Cornell

I know my list is super random and scattered, but those are the T14 schools I applied to so the only ones I listed. I feel like the prestige of any T14 is enough for me, so I'm just going with how the programs fit my career interests.

I would suck it up for their Biglaw numbers, but I didnt actually apply there, apparently, so its a moot point
