From what I've seen, UT dominates Texas, Vandy is the most national school outside of T-14.

Right...
I guess Texas is my best option. I do tend to think Texas has a good rep nationwide and there are quite a few attorneys in California that have attended Texas.
I agree UNC is not a great law school. I have decided to apply to Austin!

nobody said that UNC isn't a great law school...it does extremely well within its region. i don't see why you don't just apply to both as there are such things as backup schools in case things don't go according to plan, which is often the case.
