I think from your class they should be okay. I still have a theory that UCI is really going to need to make sure the first few classes have a high percentage of employment in order for the law school to survive ITE since it's brand new.DarkwingDick wrote:Originally from So Cal, currently live in Nor Cal.
I think most people will agree that big law prospects out of UCI will be shaky at best, but what about law prospects period?
Anyway, since you are from Cali, I say take the freebie unless you are 100% set on BigLaw/NorCal.

I'm curious..first, I hadn't heard of anyone getting a full ride to Irvine for this year. Second, they already released their class statistics. Have you already accepted the admission and are thinking of changing your mind?
Congrats, anyway. Take the full ride. There are no guarantees from any school anymore, and the LA area legal community is buzzing about Irvine.

Yeah, I submitted my SIR a while ago, but some recent developments have been giving me pause.

Also, let's say I do decide to reapply.
Do you think it's a better idea to retake the LSAT in Oct (I think I can improve at least 2 points) and reapply, knowing that this is equivalent to submitting my apps in mid-November or to just apply with my current numbers on Oct 1?
ED seems to be viable for UVa, NU, UM and Penn even if I retake in Oct.

You don't need to retake. Your numbers should at least get you UVa or NU (whichever one you ED).DarkwingDick wrote:Also, let's say I do decide to reapply.
