Christ
She might have meant passing first try, or having to pass before you can even apply for the job.

I suppose that's possible, but I could tell the alumni took it as I did, simply answering while pointing to his name tag " well you would have to if you want to have an esquire after your name" and everyone laughed. Maybe we are the simple ones haha
Why would you go to law school and not take the bar?

have no idea, sounds like a waste of time to me

 . I've heard of different people at different schools who fall below median because they simply don't try. They don't care. Why the hell people pay massive and inflated tuition amounts to not try or not even become a lawyer is beyond me. I grew up a pretty decent life, but I'd love to have that kind of money in the bank.

This is from an open house, not ASW, but still...

Tour guide to dude: "So where do you go to school?"

Dude: "I'm a freshman at [name of local high school]"

Tour guide: "..."

0L asks panel of ridiculously qualified/credentialed recent alumni, "Everyone knows about prestigious clerkships in the 9th Circuit, 2nd Circuit and SDNY, but can you tell us what the value is of doing one of the non-prestigious ones that you did...*VERY AWKWARD PAUSE*...for instance in Phoenix?"

Panelist who clerked in Phoenix: "Phoenix is on the 9th Circuit."

Entire group Q&A with the Dean, first question asked: "Can you talk in more detail about the MD/JD program?"

Preftige running out your ears. Do you think MD/JD students are more or less annoying than JD/MBA students?
