26.9% employed in FTLT legal jobs.
I had no idea their class size was so enormous.

Interesting tidbit on Northwestern's numbers. 32 graduates reported their salary in the business/industry category, and the 25th percentile for salary was $98,750, meaning at least 24 additional grads were making 98,750+, which makes up 8.45% of the class (24/284).

Re: Class of 2013 Employment Data
I'm curious to see the final totals in the 100+ category. 2010 was 5600, 2011 was way down at 4700, then 2012 was back to 5600. I'm guessing from these numbers that there will be a slight uptick, but I think we'll find out that the 5500-6000 range is officially the "new normal." For anyone curious, 2008 was 8400.Nelson wrote: On topic, so much for any supposed recovery of the legal market. These are basically last years numbers redux.
Yeah that's great. I've always figured the top schools had the most to gain from the transparency movement. Although I'm not sure why a faculty member at the Stanford School of Design is required to pass the California Bar exam.sasquatchsam wrote: I love how SLS actually tells you what the JD Advantage jobs, Professional Positions, and School Funded Positions are.
In regards to Cooley, their class size has plummeted, so keep up the good work. Like any good scammer I'm sure they still have some tricks up their sleeve and desperation brings everything out.

UIUC: 24.7% (57/231) + .03% (08/231) = 25%

EDIT: Apparently the numbers are already posted here and I did the calculations wrong?

Re: Class of 2013 Employment Data
FYI the link in the OP for Stanford is wrong - it goes to BC's dataTiago Splitter wrote:Looks like it has started coming out. Update the thread with Biglaw (101+ attorneys) plus FedClerk hiring numbers.
Columbia: 73.2 + 4.8 = 78%
Stanford: 48.5 + 29.4 = 77.9
Chicago: 62.3 + 10.2 = 72.6%
Harvard: 54.5 + 17.0 = 71.5%
Penn: 59.8 + 9.3 = 69.1%
NYU: 58.3 + 8.8 = 67.0%
Yale: 30.5 + 35 = 65.5%
Northwestern: 55.6 + 7.7 = 63.4%
Duke: 51.4 + 8.7 = 60.2%
GULC: 41.4 + 5.1 = 46.5%
Fordham: 34.1 + 2.5 = 36.6%
Boston College: 29.6 + 4.3 = 34%
Notre Dame: 28.3 + 5.4 = 33.7%
WUSTL: 29 + 3.3 = 32.3%
Illinois: 24.7 + 3.4 = 28.1%
William and Mary: 21.7 + 3.7 = 25.3%
Others available by searching thread or checking school websites. All info will be on LST in the next few weeks.

Re: Class of 2013 Employment Data
why not also add the percent employed in education to each school's total? Seems like those jobs are at least as hard to get as biglaw and federal clerkships.

I recently talked to a guy who graduated from Cooley. He said, "Cooley is where you go when you get a bad LSAT score and don't want to retake it."The Dark Shepard wrote:How does cooley fool 1100 people?

A lot of UVA's websites update at a particular time of day. I would be willing to bet that it will be there at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.

not sure if there is a cutoff on what schools you're putting up but I thought it might be informative to show these Chicago schools since many people who want to work in Chicago are considering them...
Chicago Kent: 9.9 + 0.4 = 10.3%

John Marshall Law School: 3.8 + 0.4 = 4.2%

Loyola Chicago: N/A
DePaul: N/A
