10 Actual, Official LSAT Sample Tests
Your LSAT score is the single most important factor affecting your law school admissions. The best way to master the LSAT test questions is to take as many actual LSATs as possible and then review and learn from your mistakes. Once you have some confidence in your LSAT skills, take as many LSAT sample tests as possible under timed conditions that reflect the real test. Each of these twenty actual LSATs includes an answer key (with no solutions), writing sample, and score conversion table. Make sure to focus on real LSAT sample tests, not poorly written LSAT practice tests distributed by Princeton Review or Kaplan. Note that I do feel an LSAT prep class is time and money well spent, but augment this class with taking LSAT sample tests on your own.

Mastering the LSAT
Arguably the best LSAT preparation book out there, with solutions to actual LSAT practice questions.

LSAT Logic Games Bible
Simply the best book in assisting students improve their score in logic games, generally considered the hardest section of the LSAT. Includes 21 real LSAT logic games with detailed analysis.

Kaplan LSAT 2004
Provides instruction in all aspects of the LSAT and includes 3 LSAT sample tests (not actual) with answers and explanations. Addresses all components of the LSAT.

Kaplan LSAT 180
This book is geared towards those students shooting for top scores and provides extra tactics and advanced practice to help students get a great LSAT score. Note that you can get several of these books for below the Amazon price. Just search under LSAT books or in other topics such as law school personal statements.

This highly recommended text was just updated and includes personal statement samples and advice on writing an excellent law school personal statement. Considered to be the best book out there for crafting your law school personal statement.

How to Write a Winning Personal Statement
In addition to personal statement samples and tips, this book offers advice from law school admissions directors at Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, UCLA Law School, University of Michigan Law School, and several other top law schools. This is a good overall guide to writing your law school personal statement.

Written by the American Bar Association, this book describes each ABA approved law school in America, including admissions figures that are essential in determining your chances of admission to the top law schools.

Offers candid profiles on all of America’s law schools. Provides valuable information not found in law school catalogs such as the students’ quality of life, job prospects, and that particular law schools’ strengths and weaknesses.


GUIDES TO LAW SCHOOL SUCCESS
Law School Without Fear
Written by two Northeastern Law School Professors, this succinct and clearly written book provides an excellent overview of law school and will give you a leg up in your first-year classes and resulting first-year grades, which determine job success.

Getting to Maybe: How to Excel on Law School Exams
Boils down law school success to essential ingredients, such as (a) reading only those assignments provided by the professor; (b) only caring about and taking notes on what the professor lectures upon, for you are never tested on any students’ comments or answers to Socratic questions; (c) craft your own outline based upon the professors lectures and assignments; and (d) if available, review and take the professor's prior exams right before your exam. Also teaches students about the all important skill of issue spotting on law school exams.
