Timeline (From last year):
Things don't come in distinct waves
Begins reviewing WL beginning of June
First reported acceptance: June 5th
Most acceptances were From early June through early July
Dings are at end of August

Soo...quick question:

I was waitlisted on 3/26 (status checker changed to DLS, called the office that day to find out if it was a WL or a ding). It has now been more than two weeks since I found out their decision, but I still have yet to receive the actual letter informing me that I've been waitlisted.

Is anyone else in a similar situation? What is the appropriate amount of time to wait before calling and telling them that my letter is missing?

I'm sure it's not a super huge deal, it's just that the letter is supposed to have information about how to accept your spot on the waitlist, which is something I'd like to be able to do already.

I'd just call and ask or email

got my waitlist form in the mail today, dated 4/8

Is anyone familiar with the hurdles that come with getting off the waitlist? I read that there's a good chance you won't be able to get on campus housing since the lotteries some before most offers are made. Are there more things similar to this?

Do you get a confirmation that they've received your waitlist form or just silence? It took almost 3 weeks to arrive at my place... and I expedite shipped it back... but who knows if it actually got there

Uh, did I miss something important here? I thought we were supposed to mail back the form that they sent us in the mail. It said "remit to -insert address-" right? Or were we supposed to fill it out, scan and email or something.

almost always you can scan and email stuff like that, they responded same day when I emailed it. if you're not sure they got it just give them a call and ask

I got one, but id wait a little bit before asking again because theyre probably busy

The form says to indicate how likely you are to attend if admitted, did you guys answer this? And if so, where?
