Top Law Schools

I have looked over a variety of Law School Prep books (Law School Confidential, Planet Law School, Slay the Law School Dragon, etc.). For any actual law students out there, what books are actually useful to prepare you for the experience. Who has the best guide on how to "study for the exam" from day one? Did one of the books actually help you out? Alternatively, is there a book you read that turned out to be wrong or misleading?

I am just a 0L but I have heard that LEEWS is the way to go to prep for law school exams. I purchased a copy of the audio program but it hasn't arrived in the mail yet.

I'm also a 0L, but I've heard the Examples and Explanations series is pretty helpful. I've also heard that almost nothing you look at will prepare you for for your first year, and prep stuff mainly serves to keep you brain relatively sharp.

I spent the 6 Months before 1L reading PLS II, LSC, GTM, E&E's, etc. Trust me, trying to learn substantive law before school is a waste of time. If you want to read before 1L, I suggest: 1000 Days Before the Bar, Reading Like a Lawyer, and Expert Learning for Law Students. These books will give some insight on how to learn and apply what you learn in law school. Your 1L courses will only cover a fraction of all the material that can possibly be covered in class, so it is incredibly inefficient to read and try to learn the vast array of topics in the supplements. Time is better spent on learning "how to learn" in the LS environment. Other than that, enjoy your last summer.
