So, how many people with offers already are seriously considering bailing on OGI? jw if it's something that's really happening.

I have an offer, but no way would I bail on OGI. I was a little pickier with my interviews, but why turn down the opportunity to look at other firms stress-free?

@the 2 anons above me, I have a few friends who went into OGI with offers that still did OGI but were way pickier about who they did screeners and callbacks with - essentially the bar is the firm they had an offer at. If another interesting firm came up they entertained it. I had one law review friend go on maybe 6 screeners, got the callbacks and then didn’t go on any because he was happy with his offer and didn’t want to miss class. I had another friend who had an offer, went on 10+ callbacks and second looks and then accepted his original offer (probably just wanted the paid for trips to NYC and the food).

I believe in the past there were people who got the dinner invite but no callback, and vice-versa. Definitely a good sign though.

This thread's quiet. I figured at least the NYC people would be getting callback calls by now.

SullCrom & DPW callbacks have gone out. I think Cleary has, as well.

This gets said in every OGI thread, but these questions aren't worth asking. Some people get callbacks before others do. Asking if other people got a callback doesn't change whether you will get one or not.

I know that you're dying to hear news, but speaking from experience you are better off focusing on your own interviews than worrying because someone else got a callback somewhere and you haven't heard from that firm.

Eh, I personally disagree and don't really see the point of these threads if people aren't sharing all of the relevant information. Knowing rough CB to offer timelines, for instance, helped me gauge where I was likely to get dinged and where I still had a chance to (and did) get offers. This entire process is like being behind a black curtain. If people want to share these details in an effort to be more clued in, let them. Though, to be fair, doesn't seem like the class of 2018 cares about TLS, and, you know, good for them.

I hope the weak showing just means that there hasn't been much movement anywhere yet (since I haven't heard back from a lot of places). But that's probably wishful thinking.

I know at least Covington, Baker Botts, Proskauer, and Debevoise DC have gone out.

I so far haven't received any response from my OGI firms. Got dinged by one of my two OTIP firms last night, still waiting on the other one
