so I'm a bio major working in a cancer research lab right now, and I've decided to go to law school. Already have my LSAT and LoR's and now I just need to complete this PS...
I don't have anything on my resume at ALL that would show that I have an interest in law school... I'm 1 year out of undergrad, worked 1 year in a cancer research lab, and have 8 publications in science...
I'm asian american, and bottom line is I love logical thinking and persuasive arguments. I wasn't exposed to law because my parents, grandparents are all in health sciences. I started dating my gf and she's a current law student which kind of opened my eyes to this whole field. So my problem is I don't have anything to "prove" my interest in law. I've picked up a few logic books and read through them.
how do I structure a PS based on this?? I don't want to BS something about how I experienced racial discrimination growing up and now I want to actively change it... But I don't think I can write a PS strictly based off my interest in proofs or logic...

Re: need some PS help
Somewhat ironically, your resume doesn't need anything to point toward an interest in law, because your PS can serve that function. What makes you want to go into law from your science-heavy background? There are a good number of lawyers who have an engineering/science background, so I wouldn't worry about being a fish totally out of water.
As for your PS in a general sense, focus on what you think your most positive qualities are and find a way of showing those positive qualities. That can be so many different things, so you have to get introspective and figure out why a law school should want you.
