I kind of sent it within the email of being WLed with a reply along with an update to my application materials. How often should I be sending these? Once a week from here on out?Lunaluna wrote:Checking in! Is anyone planning to send a LOCI? I sent 4 LOR along with my application, so sending another one *might* be overkill, but I'm definitely writing a LOCI after I receive LSAT scores from my February retake. Good luck to everyone!
I read that once a month is suggested, lest we look like desperate creepsimKMart wrote:I kind of sent it within the email of being WLed with a reply along with an update to my application materials. I read someone in the regular applicants thread say it's about $15k/yr just from looking through LSN.CFC1524 wrote:Checking in as well. Working on some other application stuff, but will try to send in a LOCI by the end of the week at the latest. Anyone know how students who are admitted off the waitlist fair with regard to scholarship money?

No, $15k total. So $5k/yr. Looks like some got ~$22k total.imKMart wrote:I read someone in the regular applicants thread say it's about $15k/yr just from looking through LSN.CFC1524 wrote:Checking in as well. I found someone with my numbers who got 75k off the WL, but he negotiated for it. I don't think that's a typical outcome, though,imKMart wrote:I read someone in the regular applicants thread say it's about $15k/yr just from looking through LSN.CFC1524 wrote:Checking in as well. Thank you! Do you mind sharing if these were events pertaining to the school or more so pertaining to you? You don't have to get too personal, I'm just curious if they asked you to defer or if they offered it to you.UMich11 wrote:Just so you guys know, and have a bit of faith, I was below both medians (Umich ug, with 2 years of finance) and was admitted off the waitlist for Class of 2016 - they offered me for 2016, then offered me a deferral to 2017 class if i wanted due to some new events that arose. I ended up going to a T25 b/c of more money being offered, but hold out hope. Send in the LOCIs, i think i was doing it once a month but always with new info - since I was working in finance/consulting i was updating them on new projects/experiences that were pertinent. I also let them know about where i was accepted, what I was thinking, and any offers that were swaying me one way or another - Dean Z eventually called and offered me a spot.
So hold out for it.
they were pertaining to me. I had a big client come up at work i really wanted to work on and they offered to defer me so i could work on it. They let me into the Summer Start for 2017 rather than Fall so i could start earlier too. Super accommodating and always second guess if i should have gone with UMichimKMart wrote:Thank you! How long have you been WLed for?rion91 wrote:LOCI tonight
A little over a weekimKMart wrote:How long have you been WLed for?rion91 wrote:LOCI tonight
I sort of wrote one in my email back to admissions regarding my interest, think I should write another? I was told monthly but now you have me worried - however there's only so many ways I can say, "if you accept me, I will attend".rion91 wrote:A little over a weekimKMart wrote:How long have you been WLed for?rion91 wrote:LOCI tonight
Well, I never did an initial email, just the survey.imKMart wrote:I sort of wrote one in my email back to admissions regarding my interest, think I should write another?
