I feel like I should share the story of how I found out --

I had actually emailed Yale earlier today bc I'm going to be in CT in a few weeks and was hoping to pop by and visit but wanted to make sure their office as open. Sooooo when I got a voicemail from Yale at 4pm asking me to call them back I thought "oh they're answering my email about the visit"... Then I saw the tweet and immediately started freaking out waited for an hour and a half in the library for them to call me back and when he did he began by saying "I'm sure you've figured this out from the voicemail but congratulations!" to which I automatically blurted "NO it can't be" and he said "Yes, it's true!" then I spent the next 5 min crying and telling him how he'd just made me the happiest person in the world while everyone in the library looked at me like a crazy person

Got a voicemail, but got a machine when I called back. freaking out. could a voicemail mean anything else?? I left a message, will they call again?!

I got a voicemail asking me to call them back, then when I called I was notified of my acceptance. They sent me an email later during the day. I wouldn't bother them at this point as I'm sure if they can't get in touch with you via phone they would just email you.

thanks all- very helpful.

trying to decide between HYS, ruby and hamilton. want to clerk, want to do PI, not biglaw. Don't really want massive debt but COAP seems pretty good and dont know what fin aid will bring yet.
Am really tempted by Y, S and ruby. i'm just not sure to what extent turning down the ruby is impractical vs. turning down yale is penny wise and pound foolish.

lol +1. The COAP factor is pretty huge for me, especially the career versatility you get there vs. Stanford's LRAP. But dat Ruby doh... Or Cali...

+180. I know, it sucks to have the 3 best options in the law school game, but honestly it's super hard to decide. COAP seems way nice, but does it beat practically no debt from Chicago? Or 3 years in paradise?

Ya even my voicemail is down at this point. Just imagine if they tried calling and I never found out... like two soulmates missing each other at the airport in that vital ultimatum-of-love moment, with neither one ever knowing the other showed up

Nah but they separate out admins if you look at the count above on the members tab. They also have the number they've invited but have yet to join the group, for a total 200 exactly not counting admins.

Every time somebody posts how many people are in the FB group, I kick myself for not sending my app in earlier and (potentially) saving myself the excess pain of slowly watching the class fill while I wait for them to get to my app...

I wouldn't worry too much yet. A very large amount of those admits will defer due to Rhodes/Marshalls/finishing grad programs. And a large number are deferrals from previous years. I estimate we still have a bit more than 50 admits to go (I think a previous years ended up with like 270 in the group?)

~50 seems like such a small number, but then I remember that's still 1/5 of the entire admitted class. Oh, Yale, it must be fun to be you.
