Good morning people.
I have a semi-involved question that came up when I was interviewing; however, at the time, I didn't think I had enough time to ask, get a solid answer, and act based on the information that I received; I didn't ask. Furthermore, this may best be directed at current students, particularly those that have doubled-down on engaging the faculty.
I was in the 12/31 admit wave; above both 75ths, November interview. Technically speaking, I'm way stoked and very likely to attend; Chicago is a special place with a strong brand that I'd be honored to contribute to.
I'd like to get a feel for what's going on at the Law School on a personal level before attending, so that I know what to look for in my limited time here. For example, I found this page:
http://www.law.uchicago.edu/blog.html
However, it appears that the Law School Faculty Blog is updated relatively infrequently and that many of the recent updates contain broken links. The Becker-Posner blog is very interesting, but it is limited in scope, only takes a few minutes to read through the last several years, and was terminated in May in memoriam of Gary Becker.
None of the other blogs appear to concern the content of contemporary legal research at UChi.
I've been chasing down the broken links from the LSFB using Google / other tools. I've also tried following the Wikipedia trails left by those in the faculty with some success. I'm learning a lot. : )
What resources are you guys using to get to know the faculty / get an idea of what is going on at Chicago research-wise prior to visiting / interviewing? More importantly, does anyone know much about how accessible the faculty are with respect to their research?
Thanks in advance!
