Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
Did you guys find that on PT's one section is sometimes harder than another?
I find that if I do well on LR on a PT I've done basically the same on both sections. I know it sounds reasonable that one section might be harder than another (I'm not at all saying they aren't. I would think some likely are.), but for myself I think it might be more of my frame of mind that determines my performance.

Same, typically -2 total. I'm sure we'll be fine. It's just because we have all this time to overthink and stress. Trying to keep busy so I don't stress myself to death.34iplaw wrote:Well, I'm relieved we were all in the same boat then. I haven't done worse than like -3 on a LR in a while [typically -2 to -4 between both sections], so fingers crossed.CHyde wrote:^This. I feel decent about every section except one LR. Too bad I don't remember any ACs...just the frustration that my prephrases weren't coming to me like they normally would. I just realized that I missed question number 21 on 3 of the 4 sections in September. How's that for consistency?

I'm normally -2 to -4 on LR but am expecting to be at a minimum -5 :/

Ok - cool beans. Yeah - I'm not that stressed this time. I'm sure I will be as the time draws near. I just remembered going back to an unusual number of questions. That was all!cherrygalore wrote:

Excited for this to be me. The answer I picked made some small sense to me at the time. It doesn't anymore though. I've resigned myself to taking the minus on this one and having a good "Ohhhhh" moment in that first week of January.theboringest wrote:Teen drivers was one of those questions where as soon as you realize what the right answer is you wanna shoot yourself for spending so long on it.
Hopefully followed by a content shrug since I got a 179 (I can dream can't I?)

Yeah they balance each other out I think, like I'm pretty consistent in my PT scores, but I'm not that consistent in my individual sections. Like RC can be between -2 to -5 for me, but the -5's are usually pretty evened out by better LR scores for that test.dontsaywhatyoumean wrote:Did you guys find that on PT's one section is sometimes harder than another?

I just checked my calendar and noticed that I made a note to myself to bring a jacket for the LSAT, the note was for this Friday. I panicked for a second thinking I forgot to go to the LSAT last weekend because I thought it was this weekend.

I've been spending my post LSAT time playing Settlers of Catan, and it's one hell of a game. Also, had time to bowl more lately (a KINE class got me addicted) and bowled a personal best of 240 tonight, so post LSAT hasn't been miserable.

Ughhhhhh this one was the ABSOLUTE WORST. I'd literally always use this as an example of how boring RC is. Friend: "what are you doing tonight" Me: "Reading about the riveting chemical properties of glass"dontsaywhatyoumean wrote: Glass melting myths

I actually thought that RC passage was really interesting - I had thought glass was a liquid growing up, and I got to learn something while doing RC.addie1412 wrote:Ughhhhhh this one was the ABSOLUTE WORST. Lol me too, that was a legit interesting passage. I think most of the sciency ones are usually pretty interesting.RPlatt85 wrote:I actually thought that RC passage was really interesting - I had thought glass was a liquid growing up, and I got to learn something while doing RC.addie1412 wrote:Ughhhhhh this one was the ABSOLUTE WORST. Re: The Official December 2016 Waiters Group
There was an RC passage about photography that I liked. You could tell the writers were trying to make it a difficult passage to follow because of the terminology used and dense employment of concepts, but since I like photography it was just like "Ha, screw you LSAC." I also liked the Miles Davis passage.
Least favorite passage by and far was a passage in PT57 regarding Russian literature which actually made me want to end my life. And not even after reading the whole thing. Like half way through, I was like, "This is it. This is how I die."
