I don't know about other people but that's what I'm going to do. Just casually do 2 PTs and drill some difficult LR questions.

It feels a bit weird this time. The week before Oct test I felt a mix of anxiety and confidence, and a lot of excitement. This time...nothing. The numbness is a bit scary though, and sad. I have lost my passion for the test. :?
How did you read my mind? Creeping me out that you feel exactly the same as I do.

Definitely! I was only doing RC while PTing for the most part, which hasn't been too too frequent, and I was getting rusty for sure. But a couple sections later and I'm back to my average.
UUUUGGGGHHH im going to have to find some time to sneak in more rc. i have literally only done rc as a part of pts EVER, and i am now seeing the effects, lol. how do you guys drill rc? do you time yourself per passage like game drills or do you time a whole section like lr drills?
Just a whole section.

Apparently I can only reliably finish a LR section if it's a modern one (50s/60s/pt70). Anything older than that and it's a struggle. It's nothing new though. I just stopped doing older sections the last couple months before October and forgot it was a thing for me.

On the RARE occasion that I drill RC, I just do sections back to back; if I'm too lazy then I do 1.5 sections in 45 minutes.

Next three days for me are going to be hour of LG, light LR drills, and one RC section. Really symbolic because at this point I just don't care :|
We know our habits are largely entrenched at this point, and that we can't improve much, if at all. But at the same time, the chances are good we'll get improvement simply because we scored at the lower end of our averages (assuming that since we're retaking). Combine all that and it makes sense.

This week is less about making significant strides than about staying fresh, and not becoming rusty.

What'd you score in Oct? Have you read Manhattan and/or The Trainer?

IF this is an outlier, then I wouldn't be too worry about it, you might just be burned out. How are your other time RC sections? If you are consistently missing more than 6-7 ish, then you are either not reading the passage correctly or you are taking too much logical leaps when you are choosing answers.

whats up everybody

im retaking a 167 from october

last 4 pts have been 171,175,170,171 so im hoping to at at least beat my october score

currently averaging around
minus 0 to 2 AR
minus 0 to 2 per LR section
minus 5-9ish RC

so gonna be drilling RC hard the next couple days and hoping i can limit rc errors to 4/5 or so on test day

Haven't dropped by here in a while, but I'm glad to see the October waiter-retakers dominating in this final week. Keep it up guys. I'm feeling really fresh and focused; I guess all my November slacking is paying off.

I was supposed to do my last two PTs today but was so lazy that I just barely forced myself to do one.

PT 67

Score: 178

RC:-1
LR:-1
LG:-0
LR:-1

If only I could've gotten this as my official score last year. Sigh.

Second LR was noticeably harder than first one. RC was quite easy (did not think I would be writing this as often as I have been). The !Kung passage was structured in a very simple manner and it made absorbing the info a lot easier. Mike Kim wrote this in the Trainer and I now do have to admit, LSAT passages are written very clearly and are examples of excellent writing in general. LG, which killed me last year, was also very easy. I would love an LG and an RC similar to 67's on 71. Weird sections over difficult ones (e.g. mauve dinosaurs pt 57) any day.

Curve for 67 seems a lot more palatable now.

Will take 70 tomorrow to wrap up PTing. Take it easy people.

PT 54.

RC: -1
LR1: -1
Exp (PT 50 RC): -3
LG: -0
LR 2: -0

99/101, 180.

First 180, I'm pumped. Partial retake, I'd seen the games and parts of the LR but not the entire sections. Games I finished with 9 minutes left, the 1 question in LR 1 I got wrong was such an annoying question. #18 if u want to check it out. I get it looking back, but chose A over C when deciding btwn the 2. Damn sucker choices. RC my scores still vary. If I go -1 on test day I'm jumping through the roof. My average is still 3-5 wrong per.

4 days LFG

PT53, LR1, Q8

Why does D weaken the argument more than E?

e is very weak. it talks about a single other study involving a small number of children, only several of which were near sighted. we dont know if the study was a good study, and for all we know, the children were near sighted because its genetic or something and they would have been near sighted no matter what.

d, on the other hand, totally destroys the stim. if the last two studies are invalid, as they would be according to d, then theres nothing to compare the first study to. and if we have nothing to compare the first study to, how can we draw the conclusion in the stim?

   +1. I haven't done too much either, and realize I am scoring better when I do take timed PTs. It also helps that I have some acceptances from decent schools already. I am going in on Saturday with a relaxed and stress-free demeanor.

Good luck to you as well!

I'm going over the questions I missed on PT 36, and I am still having trouble with the set-up for game 3. I'm usually rock solid on games, but this game is giving me all kinds of problems. Does anybody have any insight on how they'd tackle it?

I didn't find any key inference for this game and my set up is nothing fancy, just the same as the one described in below link. HTH

i recently read the trainer, and changed my strategy. i think its because i changed my strategy so late.

Woke up a little early early albeit with only 4 hours of sleep. Feeling all sorts of groggy and don't wanna do any LSAT. This is probably what Saturday will feel like. FML
