Some schools, e.g. Columbia, have been known to request fall grades before making a final decision.

A letter to the school with updated fall grades that push your GPA up might be just the thing needed to convince them to let you in. I feel like I made a huge mistake in not taking my fall semester of UG serious enough.

Don't slack until spring. Some law schools might want to see the fall grades before making a decision.
