Gotcha. I almost went with Seville - the kitchens/living rooms are huge - but I decided to save the money and be closer. Plus, the big OG kitchens are still pretty bitchin'. Cabinets on both sides? Yes, please!

If I was lucky enough to have a place come with everything, hell, I'd take it, too!

Does Iowa offer a travel stipend for those wishing to visit campus from out of state?

To help their yield percentage? You're right though, they have almost no incentive with the 50% resident requirement.KiwiApple wrote:DCDeckard wrote:Does Iowa offer a travel stipend for those wishing to visit campus from out of state?

Wut's wrong with the 50% resident recuirement?! Ya'll r makin us Iowa folk sound stoopid!
Seriously though, we aren't as dumb as everyone is making us out to be. $100 says I have a better GPA and LSAT score than you... but I guess that doesn't mean anything. I mean, I am from Iowa anyway...

Re: Iowa 2012
I don't think anyone is saying Iowans are dumb, Brick. The requirement just means Iowa Law doesn't have to pander to out of state students since it most likely won't affect their median LSAT score.Brick Tamland wrote:KiwiApple wrote:DCDeckard wrote:Does Iowa offer a travel stipend for those wishing to visit campus from out of state?

I was kicking Isis around yesterday and it appears that our first class will be a week long introduction to legal reasoning.

Re: Iowa 2012
What did everyone think about the email from Iowa today?
I’m slightly skeptical about their claim to an open doors policy. It seems unlikely that we’ll be in the student lounge all that often.
The small classes seem good and I like the faculty to student ratio.
Collegiality is nice but I’ll be surprised if competition isn’t fierce. It might be less so at U of Iowa but we’re all people who missed out on the T14 by a few scaled points on the LSAT or a few top grades for GPA.
BTW I officially committed to signing a lease*.
*If the right apartment becomes available.
