3.0 undegrad gpa 168 LSAT score (automatically rejected ?)

Postby pad » Sat Jul 05, 2008 2:41 am

I had a 3.0 undegrad gpa about a year ago and a 168 LSAT score,

but im looking to apply to University of California Law schools where the lowest admitted Gpa is nowhere underneath a 3.41?

does that mean that these schools automatically reject me because of my low gpa?

110 U. of California (Hastings) 3.41 3.74 159 164 26.8% 18.9 71.8% 96.3% CA 84.1% 62% +22.1%

111 U. of California-Berkeley 3.65 3.89 163 169 11% 12 97.2% 98.4% CA 87% 62% +25%

112 U. of California-Davis 3.35 3.73 160 164 28.1% 13.9 78.7% 93.3% CA 72.2% 62% +10.2%

Based on LSN, it seems like you're kind of in the grey zone between accepted and rejected at Davis and Hastings. I would apply. UCLA and Berkeley - not so much.

This is jibberish to me.

That's not the lowest admitted GPA. I assume it's the 25th percentile, although for Boalt and UCLA, at least, the numbers aren't current.

That said, yeah, Boalt in particular is going to be rough. They're very particular about GPA.

Those stats are really hard to understand. Post them so they're clearer.

No they will not automatically reject you. However all the UC's like GPA more than lsat, so you picked the wrong schools to apply to =/.

I remember I went to a panel that answered questions for prospective students at UC Davis Law and one of the students enrolled and on the panel mentioned that she got in to UCD Law with a 3.0 gpa, Although she never mentioned her LSAT score.

Since the OP was almost 2 years ago, you should compare your predictions...

Wow. I didn't even think to check the date. Who digs this shit up?
